The aim of this task is to ensure that the innovative restoration techniques and knowledge developed by NewLIFE4BioIslands can be used and adopted by different organisations in Europe and beyond.
To achieve this, the project will:
- Share knowledge and promote collaboration with researchers, policymakers, companies and land managers to ensure that the bioisland model can be maintained and replicated.
- Support further research, working with universities and other organisations to develop new restoration approaches and explore future funding opportunities.
- Promote innovative solutions, such as fog water collectors, by working with NGOs and private companies and testing them in new locations.
- Provide technical support and services, offering practical guidance to municipalities and organisations involved in nature conservation and land management.
- Contribute to new standards and guidelines, working with policymakers to promote the project’s restoration methods as possible reference practices for Mediterranean ecosystems.
- Organise an international conference in Gran Canaria during the final year of the project. The three-day event will bring together experts and organisations through workshops, networking activities and field visits to showcase the bioisland approach.
Overall, this task aims to turn the results of NewLIFE4BioIslands into practical solutions that can be used, shared and further developed, helping the project’s innovations reach new organisations, territories and ecosystems.
