Networking and technical dissemination

Task 6.1 · Work package 6 — Communication and Dissemination

Collaboration and knowledge exchange are essential to maximise the impact of NewLIFE4BioIslands beyond the project consortium. This task will establish partnerships with other LIFE, Horizon Europe, and international initiatives to share technical experience, promote best practices, and strengthen cooperation on biodiversity restoration and pollinator conservation.

The main actions include:

  • Collaboration with other projects: Development of networking activities and technical exchanges with related restoration and conservation initiatives at national and international levels.
  • Technical field visits: Organisation of study visits and exchange activities across the project regions to facilitate practical learning and collaboration between restoration practitioners and institutions.
  • Participation in specialised events: Presentation of project results and methodologies at scientific conferences, technical workshops, and policy-oriented events.
  • Engagement with expert networks: Collaboration with European research, conservation, and citizen science networks to promote the biodiversity island restoration model and contribute to wider restoration knowledge.

Led by GESPLAN with the participation of all project partners, this task will strengthen technical cooperation, increase the visibility of project results, and support the transfer of restoration knowledge across Mediterranean and other European ecosystems.

Join our BioBlitz events

A BioBlitz is an intensive biodiversity survey where volunteers work together to identify and record as many insect species as possible within a defined area, assisted by a local entomologist. Leave us your details and we will let you know about upcoming events.
