Given the financial and administrative scale of NewLIFE4BioIslands, this task involves the subcontracting of independent external audit services to verify the legality and eligibility of project expenditure.
The external audits will ensure the proper control of project activities and costs, assess compliance with the requirements of the LIFE Programme and the Grant Agreement, and identify any potential deviations or deficiencies in financial and administrative procedures.
The audits will result in the issuance of the required audit reports and Certificates on the Financial Statements (CFS) by qualified independent auditors. GESPLAN, as the coordinating beneficiary, will be responsible for managing the audit process and providing the necessary technical, legal, and financial documentation.
The task will conclude with the submission of the final audit report at the end of the project, providing an overall assessment of financial compliance and the implementation of the project management processes.
